Narrative Theories Research

A narrative is a story that is created in a constructive format (as a work of speech, literature, pictures, song, motion pictures, television, video games, theatre, musical theatre, or dance) that describes a sequence of fictional or non-fictional events. Narrative is important because is explains what is going on and who is in the film, helping the audience to know whats hapening.
the three different narative theories are -
  • Binary opposition
  • equilibrium theory
  • characters type
I think the most useful one in creating an effective narrative opening will be character type so the audience can have a feeling they already know the characters.
